I made a tiny hole in my quilt

I was almost finished with the quilting on this project when for some reason I had a thread jam that pulled the backing fabric into or very close to, the needle hole. I thought I was being very careful cutting the threads to loosen the snag but must have caugh a couple of fabri threads also. I appliquéd a small Applipop cirlcle to cover and protect the flaw. Is this acceptable? Should I cover it with the quilt label instead? The flaw is about 7 inches in from lower left corner of the back. Kind of an awkward place for a label I think.Attachment 639361

Your heart must have sank, but you did an excellent job of covering it, and at least it's on the back. If it were mine, I would leave the patch on and cover it with a label.

I would just leave it! You did a great job covering and matching it. With the quilting, I had to look closely to see it. Looks just fine to me.

I did the same thing except it was at the end of the day and I was impatient. I put a hole both on the top and the bottom so I ended up appliquéing a patch on both the top and the bottom and I could not find the exact match for the top so I used the closest I could find and so far, nobody has said "oh look at that patch!" And it is a quilt I use frequently. No worries I say.

You did an amazing job with covering that up, I say leave it it wont be noticed. I ripped a hole in one of my quilts when it was on my longarm, I feel your pain.

Bummer! You did a great job with the patch.

I would bet - that if you did not mention the spot - 99.99% of the people would never notice it.

I would leave it as is.

You should have posted the picture without showing us where the patch is to see if we could spot if! You did a great job and of course it’s acceptable. There really are no Quilt Police.

Great job concealing the spot.

You did an excellent job hiding the problem. No one would notice it unless you pointed it out.

I can't tell what the problem was! You did a wonderful job.
