505 Temporary Spray Adhesive

I ordered 505 with the specific design on the can that I have used in the past, however, they sent me different cans from Odif. I did not want to chance it and just use it without knowing if it had the same quality spray. There is no "return" on this item so I'm asking all of you great quilters, if you have used the different cans from Odif and whether or not the product is the same or as good as the other cans. Thank you!

Google Odif

There are numerous articles referring it as 505 temporary adhesive. It reads that won' t gum needle. I think you have 505.

Without pictures of the cans, it's hard to tell. I buy my 505 from a sewing machine/quilt shop here locally. It's always been good. Manufacturers do change their packaging occasionally. If it reads 505 temporary adhesive spray for fabrics, I'd guess it would be okay.

Contact the company. They sent the wrong product so you should get a refund or replacement. There are shipping regulations so they might not want you to send the wrong product back to them.

I like the sulky spray for quilt sandwiches.

They have changed the label a number of times very the 20+ years I have been using it. If it says 505, you are fine.

Odif is the company's name. I found a great price here.https://www.wawak.com/Garment-Constr...ive/#sku=GLU29

I also ordered what I thought was the old style can and then got the new style. Haven't used it yet but I'm sure it's just a manufacturer's change in logo is all. Don't quote me though, please. I only use it for embroidery items and never for my quilting though.

I read the 505 can and it indicated that it doesn't wash out. Did I somehow misread it? Does the 505 actually wash out of the fabric? Right now I use Elmer's washaway glue, but I'd like to try the spray.

This is what I like to use - Sulky KK2000 Large can
Sulky KK2000 Small can

No smell, non-toxic, works really well, only need a light spray

KK2000 is good stuff, it's just so expensive compared to 505 and I think 505 is just as good. It holds a long time.
