Looking for a star quilt pattern that was made in batik fabrics

I saw on this website about 2012 a picture of star pattern quilt made with batik fabrics. Mostly browns, yellow, gold tones. Had 12" stars and 6" stars as a border. The pattern was originally printed in a magazine.

I found this but I don't think it is what you are looking for as I don't see 6 stars as a border. I'll keep looking.

Thank you for searching for the pattern. This is not the one I am looking for. The quilt was displayed on the bed. It has 4 blocks and 5 rows. the star block is 12" with half square triangles in the corners which makes a secondary square when the blocks are put together, with a border between the big stars and a border of 6" blocks, and another border.

It sounds like you could draw it on graph paper and figure it out without a pic.

Agree to draw it out on paper to get an idea of the blocks and placements. Lots of patterns for star quilt blocks with different options. Try a search for 2012 quilt magazines. You will be able to see the covers and perhaps the quilt will show up.

Good luck!

If you found the picture other then on this site, there isn’t much anyone can do without knowing the original posters title or name. There are some pictures if you go to the QB Quilt Gallery .

Yes, I tried but I couldn't get the measurements right. Thank you for trying.

2012 is a long way back so I have a few questions:

1. Did you see a picture of it on this Quilting Board website or was it on a different site?
2. Do you know the name of the star blocks in the quilt?
3. Were the star blocks all the same or were there different star patterns in each block?
4. Could you "sketch" out the top for us & post it here so we know what to look for?
5. Was it on the cover of a magazine? If so, do you know the name of the magazine?

I'm still looking for you but just need more information.

One square equals 2" finished is my norm. The graph paper will work out the measurements for you. Add seam allowances and you're there.
