Bed runners
 

Here are the first 2 sets of bed runners. They will go to a nursing home to make the rooms look more inviting for the residents. This is a great way to use up fabrics. There are 11 rooms on the one hallway that we will trying to cover. My sister will do the quilting on them since it was her idea 😊

I make placemats for homebound meal services. It's a great way to use up scraps of fabric and batting. I hadn't thought of bed runners but what a lovely idea.

A great idea. I am sure they will be appreciated.

I made some to donate to a nursing home and they would not take them. I was told they would be in the way, and if they fell off the bed they could become a trip hazard. It was also explained to me that is is just one more thing they have to wash and keep track of.

These are all valid concerns. I hope that you have checked if your facility wants them, before you have done a lot of work. I love the idea of bed runners. Maybe a shelter for abused women might be a better fit for your caring donation?

These will be going to a facility my sister works at. She has already given her idea to those in charge. They will go into a specific area. Not to all residents. Thanks for all the concerns
