October table runner
1 Attachment(s)
I came across this fabric while straightening up my sewing area and immediately thought to make a quick table runner. I wish now that I had added a border to help with the wavy edge. Not sure how to avoid this...suggestions?...Anyway, I quilted the matchstick lines leaving the "AUTUMN" letters in the center unstitched. You can't read it very well, but I know it is there. I used glow in the dark thread for edging, but not very glowing. I love fall decorations because my name is Autumn!

I'm not sure if it will work in this situation, but Jamie Wallen has a YouTube on reducing wavy borders with spray starch. I've done it and it worked. Here's the link:

I love the name Autumn.

Well done! For runners and other things I want to lay flat, I have found that doing the “Machine binding with flange “ helps to add extra stiffness to the edge. There was a tutorial on QB but it can also be found on YouTube I think.
