Joanne bobbins
 

I was gifted a few pkgs of Joanne’s thread and bobbin kits. What machine will the bobbins fit? I have a Janome 6500 and 4000. I also have a singer 99. I’m guessing I will have to rewind them all on my bobbins or find a machine that they will fit. 🤔

Janome machines take a class 15 bobbin. Don't know about your singer.

Are they metal or plastic bobbins? It looks like the Janome machines take the plastic class 15 bobbins. I think the plastic might be a tad different than the metal ones and it is strongly suggested not to use the metal bobbins in the modern machine. The Singer 99 takes a class 66 bobbin.

These bobbins are pre wound and plastic. (They came with a small spool of matching thread) No where on the pkg did it say what size bobbins they are or what machine they would fit. I don’t think they are tall enough for my Janome.

I would look at the brand, then go to their website and see if they have a list of what machines the bobbins will fit. Or do a search for your machines and what pre-wound bobbins will work in your machine.

I think those pre-wound bobbins will fit most machines. Try putting one in the bobbin casing , if the thread pulls freely through the tension without drag from the bobbin width and the top does not sit over the top of the casing, you should be good to go.

The prewound bobbins I bought at Joanne's aren't size 15, so I just use them as a top spool. Low quality thread.

I bought some pre-wound bobbins for the brother my one sister uses and she said the thread was so bad that she had to use ir as basting thread only. Even as top thread it would continually break mid-seam. Don't know what was wrong with it as I bought from that same company and the thread was excellent. Used for both top and bottom threads and never had a problem.
