White noise machine

Having trouble sleeping thru the night for a long time. DS has white noise on his computer...not a good idea for me...and just loves it.

So, does anyone here have a white machine that runs all night...6-8 hours? Need a small one since I have sleep apnia too and that stuff is also on my night stand.

I use a YT video on my Kindle Fire - "Deep Brown Noise" - I find it more soothing than white noise. And I think I solved the problem of "Device Dashboard" coming on and interrupting it (It's a built-in app on the Kindle that is impossible to get rid of or control) - I put the Kindle face down on the night stand.

We have used them for over 30 years and love them. I have one in each bedroom around the house. Worth a try. I don't like the ones with sounds like babbling brook, rain, ect. Just the white noise.

I have Kindle Fires and never had the Device Dashboard come on any of then unless I want it on. ?
If I can't sleep I take a low dose sleep aid. So far that works for me. White noise tends to give me weird or scary dreams.

Sometimes I use a little fan on the nightstand. I can turn it away so I dont feel it if I don't want no. But a nice little constant hum.

I wouldn't know how to turn it on if I did want it. There is no icon for it, and it's not listed in apps or settings.

Oh a nice electric fan on works wonders.

I guess I'm one of the few, but I can't stand white noise machines. With a passion! I have hearing issues and when there is a white noise machine on, even though I can't hear it (due to hearing issues), it makes my ears scream out in pain. I think my ears are picking up vibrations from it.

Eons ago, I didn't know what was cauing the pain, but have quickly learned that it is the white noise machines.
