Photo quilt blocks
Looking for a process or a vendor that can create 5 1/2 x 7 1/2 quilt blocks from Photos for a memory quilt. I have tried printing on a LaserJet printer with special material paper, and it did not work very well. Any assistance or information would be appreciated.

Spoonflower reproduces photos on the fabric. I haven't used them for this but I've heard they do a very good job.

A place that prints t-shirts could do this for you. You can purchase your own fabric for them to print onto. Or try a trophy shop, as they often print team shirts. Check out their process for the final outcome you want. Some use that painted on stuff that you may not want

As far as I know, you can not use a laser printer to print photos on fabric.
I have purchased fabric (usually the 8.5" x 8.5" sheets) that can be used in an inkjet printer from here: https://www.bettysphotosonfabric.com/ I have made 4 or 5 photo quilts using their fabric and it works really well. I also purchased the spray fixative to spray the photos after they were printed on fabric. EQ used to make rolls of fabric 8.5" wide to use in inkjet printers as well, but I do not know if they still sell them. |
Spoonflower. They did 5 for me and they were excellent and true to color.

Spoonflower.com for sure. I've used them. They offer a sampler with 30 swatches for a reasonable price (I think I paid $35). You need to create an account that is free.
