Selvedge Jackets
4 Attachment(s)
It’s been a while since I have joined in this forum but I have been busy using selvedges to make quilts, and now jackets. Here are two jackets, the outer being entirely made with selvedges, both printed and plain. I lined with jackets with scrap fabrics.

Very Nice!

Fabulous! I am in awe of all the work you've put into making these selvage jackets. It looks like so much fun!
|
They look great! Did you use a commercial pattern? If so, which one(s)? I have a ton of selvages to play with - this looks like somehting I ought to do with them.
|
I used the Hovea Curve jacket pattern by Megan Nielsen Patterns. Very simple and easy instructions to follow.

Lynnie, what a labor of love! I can't imagine the time you devoted to these items. I save them but then pass them on to a quilting friend who loves to use them. I just stand back in awe at what can be created with those little strips of printed fabric.
Creative jackets. |
Those are the cutest! They give me the idea to make a hug quilt out of my selvages! (search YT)

Wow, those are REALLY nice! Shoot. If only I hadn't given mine away. This looks like a doable project, not so many needed as for a quilt.
|
Oh my, such creativity.

Oh, those are beautiful. I keep saving selvedges but have only used them on small projects like pot holders, etc. I really like those jackets!
