Baby Quilt

1 Attachment(s)
I found a 7 piece flannel fat quarter bundle at the thrift store with these juvenile prints. Gender neutral to boot! My feeling on baby quilts is that since the fabric is so cute, you don't want to cut it up too much so you can see the prints. I found a pattern in my "stack" of patterns called Slash a Stash by Susan Fuquay. I think it may have been a pattern that was used in a class at a LQS. Basically it's a square in a square block, cut into fours (offset cut) and then mixed and sewn back into blocks. I did add another neutral fat quarter from my stash, but was happy to be able to use the whole fabric bundle in one small quilt. I think it finished about 42" x 42". Quilted it in a wavy grid on my DSM. Put flannel on the back so it is very snuggly and ready for gifting next time I need a baby quilt. Thanks for looking. :)

 Way to go on finding such cute flannel prints and colors that all babies will love...and the snuggle factor of the flannel as a bonus. I bet you did a little happy dance when you found the fat quarter bundle. I like the pattern you chose, too.
Smart of you to have a baby quilt ready to gift when the right baby comes along.

Love the pattern and the fabric has a lot of movement for baby to look at...a win all around.
