HELP!! Stain removal on hand embroidery..

I have 2 old hand embroidery pieces as birth announcements of my 2 kids that I made. I found 'em recently & there are several stains on both. Need suggestions as to how to get stains out... Thanks for any suggestions....

Try soaking them in cool water with about 3 or 4 tablespoons of baking soda use about 1/2 gallon of water.

You could also try soaking in non-chlorine bleach solution (e.g., Oxy...)

I've had good luck with my vintage printed tablecloths with stains using Grandma's Secret Stain Remover. It seems to get the stains out without bleaching out the printed part. There's also a product called Retro Clean that is supposed to be good for getting stains out of vintage pieces. I haven't tried it yet

Get a product called Zout at Walmart laundry aisle. It really works. When my youngest son played baseball, one day they were practicing sliding into the base. By the time they were through, his white knit pants were red clay colored. I had to get them white again. I put them in the washer with a couple capfuls of the Zout and prayed. By the time the washer stopped His pants were white again.
