Percent of quilters using glue

What percentage of quilters are using glue in their quilting. I read of gluing curved pieces, batting and binding.

I use Elmer's washable school glue to baste all of my quilt sandwiches.

I use sometimes when paper piecing.

I use Roxanne's basting glue, Sew Line glue pen, and Elmer's washable school glue stick. Each has a purpose. When a point or seam has to be perfect I glue it first then sew. I glue my binding, miter border corners, and machine applique. I use liquid school glue to baste my guilts. I buy it by the gallon. I glue buttons, trim, and zippers in place before sewing.

I haven't used it at all so far.

When I quilted my quilts on my sit-down Tiara, I glue basted the sandwich. Now that I have a long arm, I have used it to glue down troublesome edges. I have glued my seams when piecing for several years and have found I get much better results than with pinning alone. I use Elmer’s School Glue in a micro-tip bottle.

Love this thread! Keep the ideas coming! I'm gonna try glue for my next zipper! They are so hard to keep in place!
I did use a dot of glue to stitch the 1.25" squares together. Accurate, but time consuming. So, I just pair them and stitch.

I've used 101 basting spray and 505 basting spray. They work well but are expensivel. Other basting sprays don't work as well for me. I now use Elmer's washable school glue since we can get it here and it is cheap and works well. I wait until the glue on the quilt sandwich layers is dry before I quilt them together to make sure the needle goes through the material easily.

Oh and I have used Aleene's temporary fabric glue sticks to paper piece circles too.

Does glue help keep points in place before sewing? Hope that questions makes sense.
