Patterns for sewing "garments" for preemies

I have looked and looked for sewing patterns for micro-preemies

I did see a few garments that were priced more than I was willing to pay for them.

I did find one site - http://www.eymm.com/ - that had a "top" pattern - but i was unable to download it.

Our grand-niece had twin girls on May 8 - weighing in around 2 pounds each.

Any suggestions?

Not sure if there is anything there you can use.

Have you thought about doll clothes patterns?

Here are some more

https://web.archive.org/web/20090731...83/preemie.htm if you click on the teddy bear at the top it will take you to a zip file which has several jpg files which will tell how to sew and measurements to draft it yourself.
Then there is https://preemiestore.com/ which is not patterns but items made for preemies.

Thank you - more than I was able to find!

Altho it might sound a little grim, check out the sites that sew bereavement clothing for babies that die too early. They have patterns for volunteers that sew clothing for all sizes down to dollar bill size babies. These incredible people provide a wonderful service to grieving families at one of the darkest times of their lives.

I looked at some of those sites - and the garments are beautiful - but what I have in mind are more "utility" garments -

Are you talking onesies or the sack like sleepers?

Something that would work in NICU - to accommodate tubes and wires, but still cover them a bit

Does the hospital have any guidelines for what will work with those tubes and wires? Just a thought...

I asked a nurse that works in the ER if she knew of anything - she did not.

But actually asking the people that work in that NICU - never occurred to me. Thank you for the suggestion.

I was just thinking about giving the items to the mother.
