New Quilting Board Group
Hi Everyone! Hope this is okay to post here, if not please delete. I started a little moderated social group here on Quilting Board called Mid & Longarm Quilters. It's for anyone who does longarm quilting using a mid arm or longarm, and for those that are interested in learning more about longarm quilting. Later on today, I will be adding a few discussions on topics regarding ruler work, free motion, automation, etc. Then this weekend, I will announce a really fun challenge that will be starting soon. If you are interested in joining the group please visit https://www.quiltingboard.com/groups...lters-g39.html
Happy Quilting. Hugs Katie |
Will the discussion be appropriate for a sit down non computerized machine?
|
Hi Lena, Yes, those that have sit down no computerized machines are welcome to join the group as well. Happy Quilting. Hugs Katie

Yay! I am excited for this, thank you!

Another thought - you might try to measure the wall thickness of the bars (I assume they're PVC). If they're schedule 40 or lighter, you could try schedule 80. Available at most home improvement stores, you'd just have to cut it yourself.

Thank you for starting this group! I just sold a longarm, which I co-owned with a friend and which we had a for several years but sold due to health reasons. I've had a sit down Q16 for a few years and really enjoy working with it. One of my biggest challenges is figuring out how to quilt something. I finish the quilt top and then it hangs quietly, sometimes for years, until I feel some inspiration. I hope to get lots of ideas from the talented folks here.

I visited the link but do not see how I would join it nor how to get to the group other than the link you provided in this post. I have a long arm and I also am trying to get more comfortable with rulers on my sit down domestic. I have done a bit on ruler work on my long arm but mainly stitch in the ditch type of stuff. I would be interested in learning more and hearing from others. thanks for starting this group

then click on "Social Groups." i'm happy to see that somebody wants to use this feature. i forgot we had it. [chuckles] i will delete all the old/unused groups when i get around to it. that way, any new/active groups won't get lost in the crowd. :-) |

I'm guessing when someone makes a post, only the "members" receive it? So what's different about it from the ordinary threads/forums? Please? and Thanks! |
I, too, was wondering how the "groups" worked.
