Washable glue pens
Hello,
was in a monthly swap last year and received some washable glue pens and refills that were not from Sewline, a much more economical option. Unfortunately I can’t find the information in my messages. Can anyone please advise me where to get a good washable glue pen that doesn’t break the bank?? Thanking you all in advance |
I saw some listed on Amazon. I searched under “washable glue pens.”

I use Elmer's school stick. Like the blue one so I can see where I put it.

I'm with Juliem1, I use the purple Elmer's glue sticks. A great price this time of year when school supplies are on sale.

I use to refill the empty tubes. It wasn't hard just took time. I removed the glue from Elmer's school glue stick, melted it over hot water (I used a small play metal kitchen pot my granddaughter had) until pourable. Used a small funnel to pour the glue into the refill tube. Put on the cap, placed in fridge until set. I knew to make paste from school glue by heating until all the water is removed to the consistency I wanted. But then reason set in, I didn't use the glue pen enough to have so much. The paste could be put in empty school glue sticks to become firm. . Cheaper? I don't know as glue stick are cheap enough.

Me, three with the Elmer's Washable School Glue sticks. I only use the small ones for English paper piecing.

Forgot to mention I buy multi packs and keep them in the freezer until I need one.

I have glue sticks bought last year I still use. I keep them in a ziplock with a wet sponge. I add water to the sponge when it gets dry.

I use Elmer's. "Back to School" is a great time to stock up or replace.

I use whatever one I have on hand. I do like the SewLine glue pens but only buy them to fill an order to avoid paying postage if an order is a few dollars short. Otherwise it's the Elmer's purple school glue, small container. They came out with a nozzle to put on it to make a fine line but I can't figure out how it would go into it and make it work.
