Diaper Liners... Remember them?

Anyone else use these back in the day?

I did for all my kids.

I think we just recently discussed this. I used these and the curity ones that were like a paper. I think they were less expensive and we were on a tight budget.

I must have missed the topic.

Yes, to the Curity brand.

The Curity's I used were flushable, which made for quick and easy changing/cleanup! Quite often the diapers didn't even need to be toilet dunked/rinsed, just straight into the diaper pail!

Do remember diaper liners from babysitting as well! Everyone used cloth diapers and rubber pants back then.

Why all the posts about diapers? Did I miss something? Is this the Diaper Board now? Still waiting to see pictures of your quilts, Endora.

What did you transition your babies to when they - hopefullly - outgrew diapers?

What kind of training pants did you use? Did you still have them wear the plastic/vinyl coverings over them when they were in the toilet training phase?

How did you toilet train them?

I do know that sometimes people are incontinent for life - for whatever reason. So - if your children were in that category - I hope you found something that kept their skin in good condition.

I am in that blissful period between needing diapers as a baby and needing them as a very old senior, and I am very happy not to think about them, talk about them, share fond reminiscences about them, etc.

That was a wonderful interval - whole it lasted. Sigh.

Because this topic is posted in the Chit Chat Non Quilt section.

i used them for a while - and then decided that they were more bother than they worth.

I am surprised that you flushed them down the toilet.

All those wipes that say "flushable" now - have clogged many many drain lines.

I used the diaper liners, because with the liners, and the store brand diapers it was still cheaper than buying the name brand. I was extremely lucky with both my boys. they went from diapers to Spiderman/He Man/Sesame Street underwear by the time they were both two. We rarely had accidents either. Now my oldest's pacifier was a totally different challenge. When he was 3 he was going to 2 day pre-school, but pacifiers weren't allowed. He wanted to go because of the play area, and other kids, so he decided to save it in his drawer. Initially he'd go get it as soon as he got home. Eventually he needed it less and less. Fun memories!
