air fryer recipes

Does anyone have a favorite air fryer recipe or a good resource website for such? I just got an air fryer and am ready to try it out...

My air fryer/toaster oven came with a little recipe booklet.

My family uses it to reheat a lot of leftovers. They hardly use the microwave anymore. My husband likes to put butter on burritos and cook them in the air fryer - they turn out crispy. I buy breaded chicken tenders and fish patties from the local restaurant supply store, they turn out perfect. Everyone's schedules are so wonky, we can't always have dinner together. It's nice to have these options for backup.

My favorite recipe for the air fryer is jo-jo potatoes. There are tons of recipes out there, just search for "air fryer jo jo potatoes". We like ours nice and spicy.

Use your air fryer as you would an oven/broiler combo. Anything you want baked will do well in the air fryer. I can't think of a meat or veggie I wouldn't air fry. If I didn't like the result, I'd either modify what I'm doing or cook the item with a different method. Your results will improve if you use some oil on the food to be cooked. I like to shake'n'bake chicken pieces and then add some veggies tossed together in oil and seasoning midway so it's a full meal in one pot. Quite truthfully, my air fryer is used pretty much daily and is the first thing I think of when deciding how to cook foods.

I think of things I like for example pork chops and do a google search for air fryer pork chops. Then lots of recipes come up and I see what is in common about cooking times etc and go from there. I do like to play with flavorings.

if you want to try something just do a search and ask that question. Sometimes the times for my air fryer are different but you will get the feel for yours.

My grands love to air fry the jumbo marshmallows. They are so good, they turn golden brown. A perfect roasted marshmallow. My air fryer had broil, air fry, roast, bake, dry, and proof settings. I love it.

I'm with you Peckish. I also have an air fryer/toaster oven type unit and boy did it come in handy when my oven decided to die on me during the pandemic. Just had the kitchen remodeled too. It got me thru 4 months without having an oven. The top burners still worked thankfully. I rarely use the new oven to this day unless it's something too large for the air fryer.

Most of the air fryer recipes I see are for those with baskets to their air fryer so don't know how to adjust them though my basket is not as tall though I'm sure I could work around it.

My basket style can hold a large whole chicken but I've roasted one in it yet. I do pork chops, bacon, chicken breasts, and beef patties. It makes great hot toasted sandwiches and reheats pizza to taste just baked. I bake frozen biscuits and rolls. No more preheating the oven for one pan. I use to have a fairly inexpensive one and it was okay. My friend said get one that does the better job and she was right.
It saves energy.
