For my Godchild, Quilt commissioned by her husband to replace the wedding quilt I gave them (29 years ago). Colours are so-o-o-o out of my wheelhouse but it was interesting to make. Christmas gift.

Lovely of you to replace the quilt with their choices. I have a hard time making anything I don't personally pick so kudos to you. The quilt did come out nice, in spite of the color choices you wouldn't have picked, but it is their quilt.

Look at all those beautiful points! That is a great backstorey for the quilt. You did a good job on it. I am sure your Godchild and her husband will be thrilled with it.

So pretty! I have also worked on quilts that aren't in my wheelhouse, and it makes it hard to enjoy the process. But, you did it. Kudos to you.
By the way, I love how you were able to place lavenders into the pink and red quilt. I could have never imagined that would be wonderful in the mix. You taught me a thing or two here.

This quilt taught me a thing or two as well. The purples and lavenders were in the jelly roll. Picking out the red was interesting. There was a purple strip that had to be left out from the the jelly roll and then the red worked perfectly.

What a beautiful gift, I bet they love it.
