Table Runner has me stumped..
1 Attachment(s)
I love this table runner that I happened across but I can't quite figure out how to put it together. I see that it is three strips that have a black "snowball" on the corner, but how do you then put the strips together? Just like a French Braid?
Can't seem to get the book here in Canada. Any tips appreciated. I think I hurt my brain trying to figure it out! Watson |
Oh that's pretty! I think you have it right: sew 3 strips together and snowball the end. Then put together as a French braid.

Looks like you make your strip sets and snowball them as one piece. Put together as a regular braided quilt
|
Love it. I think it could be a Quilt as you go.

First of all, think of each 3-piece strip as a single piece with a snowball on the end. Note the snowballs face in two different directions on the right and left side of the runner. Assemble as you thought.like any other braid. Very striking runner and a good way to use up smaller cuts of fabric.

Did you see this blog? https://sewhappybysarah.com/category/tabletastic-2/
she explains a little, it is done in strip sets as Sue above mentions. |
Love the pattern. It has been explained already by the other ladies, but I just wanted to say what a fun solution to those left over strips we all have.

I think it may be a version on staggered Flying Geese.

Thanks for posting. Love the runner. However, it must get in the next project line!
