Question about donating lap quilts
If you donate quilts to your local infusion center, do they usually like to get a certain number of donation quilts at a time, or do you just drop them off as you make one or two, etc.
|
Infusion Centers is one place I've never thought of giving to. I'm sure they have new patients all the time and a new warm quilt to snuggle in would be greatly appreciated. If it were me, I'd drop them off two at a time.

I would call them and ask what they prefer as every place does things differently. At the cancer center closest to me, even different departments have different requests and rules so it pays to get specifics before you begin. Whatever you find out, the donations will be appreciated.

QuiltingCotton ... the only way to get the "right" answer would be to ASK the infusion centre, directly.
Not only about how many they will accept at a time, you should ask them as to any specifics re size, shape, fabric, etc. There would be nothing worse than to make some quilts and to be told, they don't meet the requirements. Or worse, that they do not accept donations. Good Luck! |
Talked with them and they are very excited to receive the donated lap quilts. They have no size restrictions, and I can drop any number off at a time. I finished three of them and made bags for them as well. It will be a great way to use up stash and give back at the same time.
