Civil War Quilt finale
2 Attachment(s)
Some of you requested the final quilting on the civil war quilt post seen here: https://www.quiltingboard.com/pictur...t-t325660.html
I used Crayola Ultra-Clean fine tipped markers in black with a stencil of fans by "Fun with Barb Designs". Attachment 651069 Attachment 651070 I put the last row on the back or I would have been short on the length of the backing I wanted to use. LOL |
What a great quilt! Your baptist fan quilting is lovely! Your use of a row to extend your backing is genius! Great job!
The quilt is beautiful. I love Civil War fabrics. You did a great job on the quilting!
That's lovely! how true to the period and the extra blocks to make the backing big enough look just right.
I really like the Baptist Fan quilting .....great choice as now it looks like a "period piece".
The quilt is great and love the quilting.
I love your quilt! The muted colors look vintage and I just love seeing it. You did so well on your quilting too. Do you have a machine in a frame or like me have to move the quilt instead?
Love this quilt. It looks authentic to the period.
Wonderful quilt and quilting
Thank you for posting your photos of your work of art! So beautiful. I would like to try to use a quilting design like you did one day. Did you starch your fabrics first and then use the fine tip marker? I wasn't sure if it matters as to making sure the markers wash out.
