I am making 35 tote bags for a fundraiser. This picture is the back of one of the panels (I quilted it but still need to cut out the rectangle).

Yes, I would think so. Looks like your lines are about 1.5" apart, which should totally work.

I think i would add diagonal lines to make diamonds would look better. But it would be twice as much work.
