Donna Jordan

So heartbroken to learn of Donna Jordan's passing via the last Jordan Fabric's video Celebration of Life: Donna Jordan - Drop Diamonds!

Much peace and love to Matt and their children, you've all meant so much to quilters and fabric fans the world over, Donna will be so dearly missed.

I have learned a lot of skills via the internet, and Donna was one of my best teachers. You could tell she was a gem through he videos. As sad as it is for the quilting world, I feel so bad for her family. They are now missing wife, mother, and grandmother. Matt’s emotion in the video is hard to watch.

I love Donna’s videos and have many permanently saved in my links for tutorials when I need a refresher. Sad to hear she is gone, glad she managed to inspire creativity in so many people in her time. Such a rare and wonderful thing, to bring joy to so many people. That’s a legacy.

Between Sewing With Nancy and Donna Jordan, entire generations learned how to sew. They both brought their straight-forward and informational techniques to people without attempting to constantly be "0n the sell". Both will be remembered by many people that they never met in person, but whose lives were enhanced by their videos. May they both rest in peace.

I have watched so many of her videos, saved so many of her patterns, was inspired by her work and her attitude. I will miss her. It was a fitting tribute to show Donna doing what she did so well, teaching and inspiring.

I absolutely loved watching her videos. I've made several quilts based on her videos, and tried to replicate fabrics when I could, especially her Dresden Bloom, and Lone Star Jelly roll quilt. I will miss her, she was a great teacher!

Also, don't forget Melanie Ham, who was only 36 yrs. ofd when she died. Such talanted artists taken way too early from us.
I shed some tears. Donna was a fantastic teacher and contributer that will be very much missed. My sincere condolences to Matt and her family.

Like everyone else, I was stunned when I learned about Donna's passing. I thought she looked very thin and "drawn" for a while but I had no idea she was ill. Did she have cancer??? I also miss Nancy Zieman. Although, Eleanor Burns is still with us, I miss her original shows she had. I learned a lot from her and got such a kick out of her. Donna was an excellent teacher and I'll miss her :(
