Hand Embroidery from a bird's eye view

My husband sent me these photos, link is to my "imgbb" page. There are 5 different pictures in the set. Wonder how long it took to hand embroider these, such craftsmanship.

Those are amazing! I can't imagine how they planned and executed these.

Wow! Someone is so very talented! I love these! And in full confession mode, I know I could never make them!

These are really fun finished embroidery projects. It makes me wonder if there is a site where you can see aerial images. With everything else on the web I don't see why not.

What a creative perspective! Then the patience and skills to translate the image into thread and fabric. Inspiring. Thank you for sharing the photos with us.

It used to be quite common for farmers to have aerial photos of their farms done. A company would come into the area, do the fly overs, and then a sales rep would go farm-top-farm. You could have it done on request, but of course, added fees. It was always interesting to see from one aerial to the next, the changes on the farm ... new buildings, paint colours, tree growth, fence rows added/removed, crop stages, even the detail of where the tile drains were. And more!

Now would be drone views! Realtors are using the technology a lot. But there are a lot of good amateurs doing incredible work. Just.For.Fun.

So, RedGarnet ... I'm thinking start your googling looking for drone views!
Good Luck!!

I agree these are some very awesome pieces of art. When I bring my PC is brought out of its sleep cycle, I get some pretty amazing photos to view. A lot of them would make really amazing projects for hand embroidery as well as art quilt wall hangings.

If I were to investigate a surface to stitch, it would be under the sea. I love water. And who would not love the wonderful creatures that live in it?
