Nanny’s Swoon quilt
5 Attachment(s)
My FIL passed away in 2011 and my MIL declared no desire to ever marry again, but she met an awesome man 11 years later and they married in 2022. Their quilt has been in process for a long time.
I wrote up the Swoon pattern so I could use my Deb Tucker tools for the units. Blocks are 20” and the finished quilt is 112” square. I bought a bolt of the blue for sashing/borders/back/binding, but the rest of the fabrics are from stash. I just finished this one today. My wife and daughter are going down for a visit and will give the newlyweds their quilt tomorrow evening. |

My grandmother did the same thing and they both lived to 90. What a lovely gift to celebrate their union and life together.
I love all the bright colors and the love you have put into it. I can't believe how big your daughter has become too. Where has the time gone?! |
Beautiful qult. Love the pattern and colors you picked and your quilting is wonderful.
