Quarter size triangles
I have been struggling sewing QST. Need an easy method sewing them with measurements and how to trim them to size.
|
I paper piece QST. No trimming needed.
|
I think you mean .... QST = Quarter Square Triangles?
Try googling ... "quarter square triangle tutorial" Rather than me pick one or two, I figured you'd be better to survey the offerings, as to what makes the most sense to you! Have Fun! |
You can find lots of tutorials on Youtube.
I prefer to make them a little bigger then trim to size. |

This site is good for showing how to make Quarter Square Triangles - It also has a chart down toward the bottom of the tutorial for making different sizes. Bonjour Quilts Quarter Square Triangles

I can commiserate with you….at the moment I am trying to do this and end up with a 2 1/2” square to insert in my quilt….I can draw it…I can piece it…with much trial and error, but would like to find the correct directions or formula for it.😀
Then trim ... for perfect sizing! |

I made a "Clippings" quilt which has a lot of quarter square triangles. I made them larger and cut them down. It was easy and they came out perfect every time.
... and what a beauty yours it turned out to be. Great Name for your quilt!! :) |
Ha! When I read quarter size triangles my first thought was why would someone work with pieces that small? 🤔
