Quilters I Don't Care Club

This is so me! I am what I call a selfish quilter. I sew and quilt to please me how I want to do. I know to be nice to most all who give their opinion of what I do wrong but in my head I'm saying Lady I don't care if you are right.

That video sums up most of my life. Don’t like my hair, or my clothes, etc - I don’t care! But especially sums up my quilting life!

Cute! Reminds me of the Shingles commercial: "Shingles doesn't care!"
Then I followed a baguette-bag making rabbit-hole/link! Which I am making today!

Watched this yesterday. I need to make an official "I don't Care" nametag :). I have realized that I will never be an award winning quilter and just make them for the joy of sewing. It keeps me out of trouble ;).

That was hilarious!!!
I just wish I had the "not care" attitude when I was in high school LOL

That is funny! It so often happens with non quilters who just don't understand. My rule is I don't let anyone tell me what I have to sew. My time, my talent, my money. My sewing studio. Period. Love the I don't care club.

I agree! But I have noticed lately that non-quilters rarely say that machine quilted items aren't "real" quilts anymore. I used to drive me crazy when people told me that their "grandmas were real quilters who made everything by hand."

I use to hear 'real quilter' a lot. And mostly from old men! I would say no one thinks that anymore, hand stitched is one way to make a quilt if the quilter wants to. I'm not hearing that 'real' stuff much now.
