Killington Flannel

Back when I was sewing cloth diapers for my baby (who is now 17), there was a fabric called Killington flannel that was very popular in the diaper sewing community. Yes, there’s such a thing as a diaper sewing community! It was a cream coloured flannel that was thicker and had a tighter weave than the type of flannel you would have bought at Joann’s.

Lately I’ve been thinking it would make a wonderful quilt back, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere on the internet.

Does anyone know what I’m talking about? Or have any idea where I could find this product?

Hancock's of Paducah has varied weights of flannel. I bought some very thick, tightly woven flannel (white only) for an under-tablecloth layer and it works very well. This is much too heavy for a quilt back, but they may have one that works for you.

Mammoth Flannels are a thicker, woven flannel. They're beautiful. I've also used Woolies Flannels for backing.
