18 tote bags here

I was given upholstery samples, from one of our quilting ladies who works, at a furniture store. I decided to make these tote bags. Each bag took 3 samples for the front, back and handles. I had lining fabrics in my stash. Funny thing is not too many wanted the samples when offered so I took the ones left home with me. Now 4 or 5 of them want a tote. My neighbor got one and of course my youngest daughter had to have one. There is only one larger than the rest and it’s mine. I had a little upholstery fabric already so I made this and 3 more from my stash. Cleaned out one box of fabric but now have a box of totes!-lol
I wasn’t sure where to post this as it’s not quilting but I did want to show you all. Have a nice weekend-Toogie |
Wow! Good job on those totes!

At a guild I used to belong to, we made totes from upholstery fabric for women in a domestic violence shelter. Yours are really pretty!

Those are nice!
Bet some of the other ladies wish they would have taken some of those samples. |
Quick, simple, and lovely. No wonder everyone wants one. They look very pretty.
|
they look better than some i've seen with big pricetags. [thumbs up X 100]

Nice. They look amazing. The ol' saying still rings true. One person's trash is another person's treasure. Your creativity kept those samples out of the landfill. 😁
