What kind of pen works best for writing book titles on book binding? Want it to last. Don't have a machine that can type out names.

I use the Pigma Micron 08 archival ink for my labels, not sure how well it would show for any fairly dark coloured books though. Years ago when I made my Book case quilt, I cut some selvages from similar coloured fabrics and just used them. Maybe some of your friends might have some, the fabric companies are making some fun sayings on some of them now.

Have you considered using the fabric that can be used in a printer? You can tpye whatever titles you want, use lots of different fonts, get close matches to the fabric color for the background, and make lots of book titles on one page-sized sheet.
