Fancy Fish Pixel

This quilt was less time consuming than other pixels. Perhaps because it used more background fabric. I ordered 4 or 5 yards of background when planning the other colors. Fairy Frost by Michael Miller. I had to order 2 more yards! I used a meander ruler to quilt all over, except for the border-I left it blank. I folded the top back to self bind, then serpentine stitched with variegated thread. It is heavier than other quilts, and kept me warm!

Nice job, I've only done one pixalted quilt pattern and I have to admit, it was fun. I found all my fabrics within my stash. Mine was the Pixalted Rose pattern. I gave it to a little girl named Rose who just lost her Dad.

What a beauty that one is.

Lovely and colorful, but oh, so much work! I admire your persistence but agree the effort is worth it.

Very lovely quilt. What size are your little squares?

Cool! How do you keep the pieces in order?

Thank you. I cut 1.25" squares that end up 3/4". I look for cross stitch patterns that are less than 100x100 count. I label rows with letters and the columns with numbers to label each block. I have a flannel board that holds 10 rows of 10 squares. That is how the CS pattern is laid out. I cut some squares that are needed and place in a plastic bowl with a label for its corresponding CS symbol. Literally one block at a time.
