What I’ve been up to, Version 2.0
For some reason it’s been hard to focus on a lot of quilting these days, probably due to the fact that we are doing a lot of caregiving for my father and his advanced Parkinson’s disease. I have managed to do a few things, mostly crochet. The green block is an afghan sampler blanket I’m doing, I made a cozy flannel kitty nightgown, the granny squares are for a granny square sampler blanket, and then I crochet a Griffin from my mythical creatures crochet book which was fun. I am working on a dragon now, but it is taking a long time because there are so many parts to it. Anyway, here are some pictures….

those are lovely! I dabble in crochet as well, nothing fancy, just things like potholders and washcloths to keep my hands busy like at home, waiting rooms, I like to make fun coasters...that green block is really pretty!

LC being a caregiver is so very difficult and demanding. These ‘smaller’ projects are perfect as you get to finish. I wonder if granny squares were first made with that in mind. Take care of yourself.
I admire crocheting and anyone who can do it |
These are perfect !! Love the griffin. Hope you share your sampler when you complete it!

As a caregiver for my dad with Parkinson's Disease and dementia, I can relate. Small and easier projects to keep your hands busy. And some days, for me at least, to keep my sanity. Dad passed five years ago on this day. I wouldn't change a day I got to spend with him. Please don't forget to take care of yourself. And keep making lovelies.
