Sewing machine successes!!!
I finally gave up (mainly because it had been years since I worked on a machine) and took my 301 to a shop that someone in my sewing group recommended. He called me the next day and said it was fixed. $60.00 !!!!, cash. I'm so happy with it as it works perfectly again. He worked on the tension and the jib area.
So the next day, I took my 401 in. I had it in the shop previously and it still didn't work well. this guy did something on it and it works well again. It's still somewhat stiff, but works much better. The hand wheel did not turn easily and it was hesitant to start sewing. $40.00!!! bkay |
Congratulations. Glad it worked out well for you to get these back in working order.:)

I think he said he was 88, so who knows how long we will get to enjoy his services. But I want to take my 15-91 and my 201-2 to him before he quits.

Great prices for repair! Here, just to look at it costs $100, and any parts are added on to that.
