On point!

I made this from leftover fabrics, from the Garlic Knots earlier this month. My husband likes a quilt with a background other than white. I think this one fits his liking. It’s about twin size but I forget exact measurements. I wasn’t going to show it, until I quilted it, but who knows when that will be. I haven’t tried to quilt since my last break. It will give you something to look at in the meantime-lol
Last week I had my granddaughter Nora (12) over and she started a baby quilt. She sewed two days then had to go home. One more day of sewing and she should finish it. We will share it when it’s done. I figure I will try to quilt then since it will be a small quilt. I told her she did better seam allowances on her first quilt 2 years ago. We figured out why she was having trouble keeping it even. I had a different foot on, so after we changed it, she got better again.
Aldo, I should finish up another twin today if all goes well. Well hope you like my classic look, of the 9 Patch, on point!

Very nice quilt. I just finished the top of a quilt on point using half log cabin blocks. When it was together I realized that the cornerstones of the blocks were all facing sideways. My design wall is oriented as landscape so when I laid it out, the blocks all pointed down and I didn't even think about how it would look when held up in portrait mode. Oh well, I'm not one to take a quilt apart. Your blocks work nicely either way.

I like you version of the quilt with the darker background squares. I just finished a UFO with a similar, kind of, lay out but using four patches and cream background rather than your nine patches. It is a simple and very traditional layout. Love It and are drawn to the darker background no matter how many little squares are in the patched blocks.

It's a very handsome, manly quilt top, Toogie! Love it.

Great quilt by WMUTeach, too. And Zuzu is already enjoying it.

Toogie, I love the colors in your quilt. I think this is the first one I have seen since I have been a member that is not a QOV. Your quilts always come out fantastic.

WMUteach, Ditto on the colors. I think the cat likes it too.

Why is it that our pets are drawn to our quilts? I have two small and one medium (two cats and one dog) sized expert helpers when I am trying to make my sandwiches.

Cheers,
Shari

Shari, you must have missed my non-QOV quilts I’ve posted. I have two on this page 1 of pictures right now and I’m fixing to add another. Take a look in my albums if you want to see some I have posted before. I do make a lot of QOV , I just can’t ever do enough for our veterans. Thanks for looking today.

Wonderful colors for a manly quilt and nothing simplier than a great nine patch. Great job Toogie!
