Does anyone own a quiltcut 2? Do you love it? It is easier to use than a regular mat and ruler?
|
I have the original one I bought when they first came out for 120 or 140 $
I love it and it is the only thing I cut with, however I use a ruler to get my markings/measurements correct then use their sliding bar. I love it K |
I have the one, the Alto 2. It's a good system but hard for me to get the exact same accurate measurement from multiple cuts. But that's just me I think. It needs to be on a table you have access from three sides, two at least.

I also own this and love it. I run the York County PA chapter for Quilts for Kids Organization and I need to cut alot of kits out for our volunteers. It helps me to cut the kits quicker and more precise. I can cut up to 8-10 pieces of fabric at a time and also I have no slippage when cutting. I even take it to our workshops to use.

I also have it and love it - it is great for cutting strips and then cross cutting them. I am much more accurate than with a ruler! My blocks are the proper size more often than not:)

i would love to have one.

I'm left handed also. Know matter what I do the ruler slips. Thank you all for your replies. I'm going to the Mid Atlantic quilt festival in February. I believe a Quiltcut 2 will be traveling back to North Carolina with me.

hi every one, I am new with the quilting, n want to buy the equipment. After doing some research, i like to buy the alto quiltcut 2.
My questions are : Do I still need to buy the acrylic ruler, the square and triangle? Is the tip and technik DVD will help to use it? I meant is it worth to spent another 16,95$ for the DVD, since there are lots of websites that give free tutorial how to cut and etc. |
