How would you quilt an AW top? I had planned to do some outline quilting. If I want to give more 'depth' to the window scene would I outline around the sashing/sill area or do some echo quilting in the 'pane' area? I don't do FM and don't want to practice on this top. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks.

I would not quilt a true attic window quilt. I thought that was the idea with them, so you wouldn't need to quilt.

Can you post a photo of it? I do all freemotion quilting and like your idea of outlining some of the items in the windows then doing the sashing and silll to give it texture

SID around the sashing would be nice... outline quilting around some of the key elements in the window will make them pop out more :D:D:D

you could stitch 1/4 inside the seam in the window sashing all the way around. and then perhaps again 1/4 inside that. should look good and give the window sashing a good design.
