haven't even made my first block, frankly because I'm not sure what I want to do.
Have a lot of samples, and want to put them into other clothes. Not into actual quilting, just the patchworking. I love the way it looks on clothes and such.
Any suggestions? The samples range from 2" squares to 2"X5" strips.

Welcome to the board from Ventura County, Southern California.
You can do all kinds of things with patches and strips that size. Have you made a sweat-shirt jacket? I have one I made (well it isn't totally finished) using a bunch of different fabrics. They would be great for making a tote or purse.
A Patchwork top would look nice too.
Are they all cotton samples? Whether they are all cotton or a blend of cotton and polyester, you would want to use all the same fabric on your garment.

Welcome from Hesperia, where in CA are you? You don't need to hide. ha ;)
Patchwork clothing is fun, I have tons of patchwork purses and vests. Even a skirt made out of just 5" blocks.
