Getting ready to retire and decided to try my hand at quilting. I've made a couple of basic rag bags and I'm working on a table runner for a wedding gift in June.
Can someone suggest a very detailed, very newbie Web site on how to square a table runner before adding the binding. The directions say........"make sure your 1/4 mark lines up with the point of the center square so you don't cut off your point when you sew on the binding" I have no idea what they are talking about........ Any help will be so appreciated |
Well, THAT was not helpful. Take your long ruler and line it up with the ends of your points on the 1/4" mark, prepare to trim, hesitate. Not required, but I always do. Make sure there is at least 1/4 inch of "free space" after your points when you trim, that way you will not hack off the points. I hope this helps.

Oh and welcome, by the way.
