FYI: finnegan was released into the wild and got married to a nice lady squirrel.
they made a large nest in an oak tree nearby and had two babies. finnegan behaves as though he has never known his previous families - human or canine.

Such a heartwarming story in a world full of bad news. Is he still brave around dogs or has he "gone wild" and scared of them now? So sweet that mama dog wanted him as part of her family! Hope your cancer is well on it's way to remission (great therapy by the way).
