Hi to all. Trying to find an old quilt pattern and came across this site & decided to jump in. Have sewn for years but not very outstanding on anything. Really love the trying tho. Hello, I am also new to the board and also moved from frozen NE Indiana to Alabama.... but we are much closer to the coast (about 85 miles - close enough for 'gulf breezes' far enough to avoid major hurricane damage - we had Ivan whereas we were without electric for a week and no water... Katrina blew shingles off..

I see you are still 'up north'... it gets too cold up there for us! :mrgreen:

Welcome Janeen and Geni! I am in Pensacola. Hopefully you have good quilt shops near you! We don't have a quilt shop nearby, but we do have a secret fabric store that is just full of great buys!

Janeen, are you near Montgomery? You didn't say. We were without power for almost 3 weeks after Ivan (and no water for at least 2) but no Katrina damage here - not even any rain!
