Hello to everyone. I live in a very small market town in Northamptonshire but work in London. Although I trained many years ago as a textile restorer (which doesn't pay enough to make a living so now I am stuck in an office) I am new to quilting. Quite different from embroidery and this site is an excellent source of first hand information. I sew most things by hand, except for curtains, (a bit frightened by the sewing machine to tell the truth). I have just finished my first applique top (9 blocks) and now in the process of quilting. I have arthritis and am teaching myself to spoon quilt. As I don't have to "unlearn" the rocking technique, it is coming along quiet well, although I am keeping my eye on the Message Board for any other spoon quilters but I am looking forward to learning from you all.
