I have been trying to find a use for all the trimmings I have left over, as well as some fiberfill from some pillows. I heard or read that animal places could use them, but have not had any luck finding a place. At what point do you just bit the bullet and pitch them? I have a box full of collars and cuffs, lots of trimmings from squaring up block, etc. Help!

i'd toss them right now.

I have heard of some people putting them into old pillowcases, sewing shut and donating to pet shelters

I hold on to mine. Which means I have boxes full. I don't know if I will ever use them but I can't seem to throw them away.lol

I know some people create art with them. They are glued to a canvas and stuff added like button lace and etc...I just toss..I just save the strips and big pieces for my scrap quilts....

I like the idea of making a dog pillow out of them - use them as stuffing. Great Idea!!!

This is what I do too.

The guest speaker at our guild meeting last night makes miniature quilts. Block sizes at less than an inch, which means there's not many scraps that are too small to make another quilt.
