I have been looking at the bargello quilts on this forum and want to make one so bad. I printed the tute that Barb-Mo put on here but can't find the first part. It is the part where it discusses the cuttting of the strips that you sew together and picking out the colors and placement.

Does anyone have this book, Twist & Turn Bargello quilts by Eieen Wright.
Would this book be for a beginner or is it more for a advance quilter who is make a Bargello quilt?
If it is for a more advanced quilter, does anyone know of a book for a beginner to make a Bargello quilt. I need lots of info and pictures would help me a lot. I am more of a visual person when I learn something new.
I'm new to this forum and I really love it. There is so much info on so many different things about quilting.

Thanks so much for your help, Carol

I have that book and she seems to really explain things well. I think even tho you are a visual person, you will be able to follow the patterns quite well. I haven't made any quilts out of it yet, but by reading it, it looks fairly easy. Hope this helps.

As the author of the book in question, I would like to offer my assistance via email if you should run into any difficulty with a project from the book. The placemats and table runner are the easiest followed by the Surf Song quilts. One of those would probably be the best choice for a "first" bargello but I have guided quilters through a twisted project via email so would be happy to help you whatever project you choose. Hope that makes you feel more confident. Also I have been told that the instructions are excellent and I credit my technical editor, Nanacy Mahoney for that.
Cheers - Eileen
