A friend brought me 30 sunbonnet girls that she found in her mothers stuff after mother had passed. She said do something with these for grandaughter for a christmas present. Sew this is what I did. I did the sashing, corner blocks, and borders. Sent to my Longarm quilter; then I put on the binding and made the pillow. It is for a double bed. It is on a Queen in the photo. I thought it turned out pretty good. I think they were appli. in the early 70's

That was so nice of your friend to give these to you!!! |
Wow! What an honor for your friend to entrust these blocks to you. And what a wonderful job you have done for that granddaughter. You have given her something that is precious: a remembrance of her grandmother. I love the yellow sashing (love anything yellow) and that cute pillow sham.
