Hi my name is Paula. I am new to quilting. I have a Brother SE350. Having been buying supplies to start my first quilt. OMGosh I am really nervous about starting. My house motiff is Southwestern and have decided to the lone star. Would this design be easy enough for a persons first quilt?

Welcome from Louisiana! Stay tunned for answers to your question. I have not made a lone star. I'll wait with you on an answer.

Welcome to the board from Southern California!!!
I have never made a lone star. My thoughts are that it would NOT be a good candidate for a first quilt.
A nine patch, or Yellow Brick Road, or Rail Fence or even a Warm Wishes would all be much better for a beginning quilter.

Welcome! Hmmm........ Lone Star is not a beginner pattern. I hate to say that but I don't want you to get overwhelmed and then you may not like quilting and we want you to LOVE it!! :D
I like the ideas another posted.
