I want to say thank you to all the board members who write and post pics here for those of us who quilt alone. You are a fountain of knowledge and have lots of great ideas! I have finally stopped being intimidated by your great quilting skills and am now using your ideas and pics to broaden my quilting experience. For instance...

One of you posted a link to easy pin wheels ... and boy! they are! I used the tutorial to make pinwheels for a Downy quilt from my stash -- You take two square pieces of material, put them right sides together, sew 1/4" around all four edges, cut from corner to corner twice --TA DA! You have 4 triangles that make perfect pinwheels. (See my photo below)

Also the quilt/hair clips for holding binding before hand sewing is wonderful...no more pins pricking me everywhere while I hand sew the binding! And I bought the Binding Tool on line because of the Board comments...it's great and works so well!

Even if I say "Thank You" a million times --it's not enough for all the information, pics, and opinions you post!

Your quilt is so-o-o-o cute. I, too, have learned A LOT here, and always check the "Pictures" section to see what's been done!

I never knew that trick for pinwheels. That is great, I'm going to have to it out on my next Downy quilt!
