Here are a couple pictures of my setup for quilting on the embroidery machine. The machine was doing the last square of a quilt I am making for my grandson to take with him to college. I know it's not very exciting, but he is a black and grey person. I use water soluble stabilizer on top of the fleece so the stitches don't sink into the fleece. The checked back is a brushed cotton, not quite a flannel. It will have a checked binding on the bias (I hope). I hope they show up okay.

Wow wish I had that much room for sewing. Lucky you.

It is in my basement. It is my sewing studio. I have 3 sewing machines along that one side, 2 sergers opposite and computer completing the U-shape. This room was my life-long dream. Someday I will post pictures of the entire area, including the 60x80 ironing station/cutting area for large projects.

AHHHHSOME! How long does it take to quilt it? Your sewing room is beautiful.

That's a very nice quilt! I'm sure he'll love it!
What a great room too! I imagine you enjoy spending time there! |
What a cool set up. I'm green with envy.

The whole thing including your quilting looks good to me.

Can you tell us more about how you got to the stage we see in the photo? At what stage do you iron on (?) the paper?

this is exactly why I just bought an embroidery machine. tired of stitch in the ditch, but not brave enough for FMQ yet. This gives me the best of both worlds... :)
