I will be going to my first quilt show this weekend. Since I am very new to quilting (have only completed 1 quilt) and have never been to a quilt show, is there anything I need to know before I go? I don't want to embarrass myself or break protocol so to speak.

Ask before you take pics, some don't allow it.
Take paper and pen for note taking. Don't touch the quilts. Comfy shoes, and most of all, Have FUN! :D:D:D |
Here, go to this virtual one and you can see kind of what it is like.

Bring you camera. Enjoy. Remember shows are addictive.

The quilt show in my area is only every other year, but we provide gloves so that you can touch the quilts!!!
|
Hope you had fun!

Just go and enjoy yourself. I went to my first one last year and when I stepped through the door my son had to remind me to breath. It was awesome.

Try not to drool too much and try to keep your chin off the floor when you go around a corner and see a stunning quilt. Wear comfy shoes and take loads of money.[/quote] Hi Sherry, I'm going to my 1st one on Friday. With Scissor Queen LOL So she can report back to everyone if I drool too much! The comfy shoes and money part I already figured out on my own   |
