I have one and I think it is bone. and yes it is a stiletto.

It is a Porcupine quail, Much larger then the one I have. but looks the same.

It is from a porcupine in Africa. They get much bigger there than they get here. Every once in a while I will see one at a craft shop. I'm used to seeing the smaller ones from the North American Porcupine in Native American bead work. They make great earrings. (The smaller ones that is.) :wink:
