While I was cleaning my designer 1 I accidently disengaged the thread cutter. Does anyone know how the cutter is supposed to fit into the machine? I have looked everywhere for help on this hope someone on this board can tell me. thanks.

if you are referring to the arm on the left side of the bobbin, just push it back in. You may need to use the end of the small screwdriver.

I got this info from a website that I googled.

Thanks for your reply. I am going to try and post a picture of the part I am referring to.

Sorry I should have explained which piece. It is the long silver piece I am not sure if it should snap to the arm or if it just in there. I have tried to get the knife to sit into the slot but it still does not work.
